ZINDA…..

Ranked at Top in this month’s chart of my favorites.

Lyrics by Anwar Maqsood*, Sung by Strings*. Titled as ZINDA

yeh hai meri kahani
khamosh zindigani
sannata keh raha hai
kyun zulm seh raha hai

aik dastaan purani
tanhayi ki zubani
her zakham khil reh raha hai
kuch mujh say keh raha hai

chubtay kantay yadoon kay daaman say chunta hon
girti deewaron kay aanchal mai zinda hon

bass yeh meri kahani
be nishaan nishaani
aik derr beh raha hai
kuch mujh say keh raha hai

chubtay kantay yadoon kay daaman say chunta hon
girti deewaron kay aanchal mai zinda hon

(john’s Part)..

bajay pyaar k shabnum mere gulistaan mai
barasray rehtay hain her simt maut k saye
siyahioon say ulajh perhti hain meri aankhin
koi nahi .. koi bhi nahi jo bataye
kitni der ujalon ki rateen
koi nahi hai koi bhai nahi
na pass na durr
yeh pyaar hai
dil ki dherkan
apni chahat ka jo ellan kesay jati hai
zindagi hai jo jeay jati hai
khoon k ghoont peay jati hai
kuwaab aankhin say siaye jati hai

ab na koi passs hai
phir bhi ahsas hai
yahiaon mai uljhi pari
jeenay ki aik aas hai
yadoon ka jangal yeh dil
kanton say jal thal yeh dil

chubtay kantay yadoon kay daaman say chunta hon
girti deewaron kay aanchal mai zinda hon

This year’s Lifestyle

Yesterday went to to expo with Asra also accompanied by Qudsia and Ayehsa [her sista's] for eyeing upon this year’s lifestyle which was on much larger scale then last year’s. This exhibition is very much appealing for all the house wives, teens and kids.

This three days exhibition was divided under 5 wide area halls with so many stalls of almost all small to large businesses operating in Pakistan like K&Ns, Uni-Lever, NiVEA Cosmetics, Dawn group of Publications, CYBERHiSPEED, Samsung electronics, Nikkon Electronics, KOLSON Foods, Emirates, GEO, Indus TV and tooooooooo many more. They have brought so many special deals along with lucky draws. Among them none of them didn’t changed our fortunes which we’ve tried =D.

Well! In my word of opinion this exhibition can be an exciting attempt for outing and socializing one’s own self with friends and family. I guess majority of bloggers from Karachi did visited lifestyle?!?!

The Conflict Process

Conflicts are no matter what daily part of our lives. Conflicts in groups, among individuals, at workplace play crucial role in defining the individual’s behavior with all the species around him.

Above diagram which I extracted from my Orginizational Behavior’s [OB] book is highlighting 4 main stages in conflict process, which again sub-divided into detailed explanations.

  1. Potential Opposition
  2. Cognition and personalization
  3. Behavior
  4. Outcomes

All above stages are explaining the systematic flow for conditions in which conflicts can arise. But perception, opposition and scarcity must be feel among the parties.

——*

LOL! Tomorrow is my Quiz from this chapter, I was just taking a self-test through this post, to find out will I do well with this quiz or not :-) .

So do you agree with that exhibit of conflict or not, if you then do let me know I’ll put all these very points infront of my teacher we all have great time together in his class.

Attention: Da Vinci Code Lovers

I almost behave like a freak whenever I get some news about any of my read is ready to enter the cinema halls and then to take a form of DVDs for its world wide viwers. YES! Exactly! one of my recent reads ‘The Da Vinci Code‘ is ready to boost its thrill into the hearts of its readers who have read it as a novel and now desolving under the curosity to see and equally enjoy it as a movie.

This Release would be one of the biggest releases for summer 2006.

View its Tailor now.

And details about its cast is maintained by someone on a seperate blog here.

But I dont think so that Tom Hanks is the right choice for Robert Langdon’s character though m a big admirer of Hanks style in his work. What do you think?!?!

Correcting some professionals

If anyone among you is also crazy after Aurora’s ad world might read this letter I sent to its editor a century ago. As they alas published it in their latest edition under their regular column “Letters to the Editor”. See, I wrote them in july and still they didn’t persue this request for which I dared to mail them.

She (editor) replied me (in mail) like this.

“Dear Gule Geti, thank you for your suggestion. At present we are working on
completely revamping our website, a process that will take a further few
months. Once that is up and running, we will also include articles from
Aurora.

In the meantime, as we would like to publish your letter in the next issue
could you please indicate the city you are based in, be it in Pakistan or
elsewhere. I would be grateful for this information.

Finally, thank you for your kind comments regarding Aurora and I hope you
will continue to enjoy reading the magazine.

Yours sincerely Mariam Ali Baig”

Next issue!!!!!!! Dear editor u are too late to publish, even though I lost all hopes after searching my this very mini letter in all ur bi-monthly editions afterwards.

My reply to her then:

“Dear Editor,

I would also be pleased if you would like to tell me the URL of the
website which is currently working because I didn’t explored it at any
search engine.
I m based in Karachi.

Thank You.”

LOOK now! how clear “Karachi” shown to you?!?! even they didn’t get my city and publish what they like me to belong from Lahoreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee *glares*. My mum says do them correct I said chaddo, actually now I too become consicious that is there any other Gul e Geti exist at any other corner of this world. Huh! Btw soon I’m also start writing for this mag as a free lancer, thats why this big delay in publishing of this letter astonished me. I think they too did some garbar to shape my name’s spelling. I never supposed to write it like Gule Geti. LOL! I think they derived it from my Gmail id rather looking at the bottom of the mail.

Another news I too wanna declared m also planning to start a pure ad-based blog in near future (may be after this semester which is near to over) with the contribution of few of my classmates, myslef, some new people who didn’t tell me about their feed-back yet but any how I want it to be materialize, if anyone among you is a reader of aurora or any other ad-based mag (local or global) might got my point that what this blog would be all about. If anyone among you like to be the member of this blog contact me at gmail id [ in the side-bar]. It’ll be highly appreciated. Will soon dedicate a post with some necessary deatils.

————————-***

PS: Took admission in Arabic learning classes today. Bought up by university management for both Arabic and French. Course will take 8 months’ duration with 2.5 hrs class once in a week. Means my fridays will get consume till 8 months in this respect. But “Kuch paanay liay kafi kuch qurbaan karna parta hai bhae”. Great benefit is their small size of batch and Greatest benefit is their very economic rates OMG just Rs.400 per month. No one in Karachi offering any foreign language up to these rates.

I want a RED CARPET wellcome

I don’t know why today I’m feeling contended, actually bcoz I’m enjoying myself and this unbelievable return of mine. Unbelieveable bcoz, I cant forget that phase of my absence in which I was fully agreed on this final decision of quiting this blog in utter feeling of gloom, gnaw and distress. I cant find even words to show my inner distrubance I had while my papers. I know my inclination for marketing always made me shiver from finance side and its all related courses.

After Finance and cost accounting’s paper I was almost on the verge of my madness, half dead, cursing my own self, finding ways to comitt a suicide see how ullo I’m.. Astaghfirullah. Both went more then worst, fear of a great fall in my current GPA which is up to a satisfactory degree now, third class grades, poor result took all my peace far away from me. My energies at that time were totally passing in the rememberance of Allah, I was day n night crying hard on prayer mat for my success being all forgotten from my blog side keep on praying …keep on praying. Alas the day came I announced in the list of passing students Allhumdullillah. In cost accounting I got 20 out of 25 and in Finance I scored 16 out of 20. I bowed for gratitudes to Allah. It was really a relaxed feeling, bcoz I’m master is making blunders in my papers specially those who seek a possession of a calculator… rest of marks are all awesome. Anyways that was long story after papers I stuck in that Govt Hospitals presentation. Our tour to those miserable places, collection of stuff, conducting surveys, research work, capturing movie of these places, patients’ interviews, doctors’ interview, shaping them in a form to present infront of the entire audience took myself all away from me. It was last days of november I was badly missing all my blog pals and my ever ignorant blog. Moreover H’s SMS also made me eager but I couldnt get into it before all the work done. That presentation went more then superb, praises after it gave our entire group tons of blood buckets. I captured some worth sharing pics, I will upload them up soon. Again Dr SG’s guidance proved to be a sign of success behind this project.

Thats all for today now. Another worth sharing news, at my sign-in to Gmail this evenging I got a preveledge mail by Jahangir Afzal. Its also nice to see myself among well known bloggers.
